The Investiture Ceremony for the current academic session took place on 16th July 2011 amidst glitz & gaiety. The occasion assumed great importance due to its being the 75th year celebration of School's existence. It was for the first time that the parents were invited to witness the ceremony. The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp. The welcome address was delivered by the School Principal, Mrs. Usha Sahgal who not only congratulated the members of Prefectorial board but also outlined the procedure for the selection of the team. The Flag raising ceremony to the accompaniment of School Song 'Glory to APS' echoed in the auditorium making everybody feel proud & inculcating a sense of belonging to their institution. The students were formally inducted as Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl & Co-Ordinators etc. Ayush Sharma & Shivali Sharma were selected for the most coveted posts of Head Boy & Head Girl. Those were proud moments for the office bearers, parents & teachers alike who witnessed the children with badges signifying various responsibilities associated with them. A formal Oath was administered by Mr. Prashant where in the team vowed to fulfil the duties assigned to them with utmost sincerity. Ms. Dimple Narang, the Student Council Incharge acquainted the students with their respective roles & how to accomplish them to the best of their ability.

Mr. P.K.Sahgal, the Chairman of the School congratulated the team & the parents & urged upon them to make the best use of the opportunity thereby honing up their personalities. A few parents were also invited to express their opinion who appreciated the efforts of the school in enabling their wards to become confident & enlightened citizens. The ceremony came to an end with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Richa Sharma.
